Today is going to take a lot more brainpower than yesterday. Do I need this? can be answered with a simple yes or no.
Now the questions are more complex: How and where do I use this? Where does it belong (for easy access)? What are the rules for putting it away?
At the moment I am contemplating two mini-plug adapters that I very rarely use. But I don’t want to toss them out and then re-buy them in the future. So the question is, where is the future me most likely to find these?
Defining the “put-away place” seems to be a very big part of the Seiton process. Drawing outlines of tools on pegboard (a classic metalshop trick) is one of the ways you can define the space. I’m using Delicious Monster Library to inventory the items I put away. One of the cool things about Delicious Monster is that I can have a record of everything on my iPhone.
