Doing Things in a Standard Way
This is the part where chores are divided amongst workers. Since I am undertaking this 5S experiment on my own, I am going to try and standardize the way I do things. First thing, when I come into the office (at work or at home) I will try and sort the inbox into Keep and Don’t Keep. Throughout the day I will look for places to put the things in the Keep box. (If there is no “away” place, then it should go into the Don’t Keep box.) Finally, at the end of each day I will clean off my workspace.
This sounds good on paper, or in pixels at least. We’ll see tomorrow if an old dog can learn new tricks.
