Happy Easter

I know one little doggy who will be having an Easter hangover–the cocker spaniel just wolfed down four cranberry-orange scones while the “Easter Bunny” was hiding eggs down in coyote-ville and marking coordinates on his handheld GPS. The things we do for love.

(Mind you, this is to delight the married daughter. The little princess still at home rolls her eyes at the idea of egg hunts. What? Get wet grass on my Jimmy Choos?)

This thought from Psalm 27, coming from the point of view of someone going through a real tough time (as are a certain young couple I know) and not getting any sense of direction or even a glimmer of hope from God:

I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.

Wait for the LORD
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
