Knee Joint Gray’s Anatomy

Here it is, a week after my Extreme Gardening adventure with Habitat Works, and my knees are swollen to the size of watermelons, screaming with pain. What’s up with that?

It could be that my seatpost is too low on my Comfort Bike, wreaking howling havoc in my hinges. I’ll have to check that out before I commute again. Or maybe two and a half days of boulder hopping was too much for these old bones.

Fortunately Outdoor Magazine recently published a series of excercises to promote joint-love. The exercises are sport-specific, so that cyclists (for instance) can tune their hamstrings to go with their beefy quads.

I’ll let you know how it goes. Once the swelling goes down.
