It’s day 30 and I’ve lost 2 lbs. faithfully following Timothy Ferriss’ Lose 20 Pounds of Fat in 30 Days Without Doing Any Exercise diet. I figure Mr. Ferriss owes me 18 lbs. right about now, payable in chocolate.
Fact is that I had to cheat and start pumping a daily 20 minutes on the stationary bike to even burn the puny 2 lbs. Which makes sense, seeing that the main way to shed carbon is to increase respiration.
Couple of other thoughts:
- I’m a much older dog than Mr. Ferriss, with a more sluggy metabolism
- Maybe I actually lost the 20 lbs. but gained 18 lbs. of muscle from my 2x weekly climbing gym workouts> (Dream on, Phil)
- No more Sashimi Salad at Sumo’s. The MSG and salt triggered an overnight gain of 5 lbs.
- Maybe I’m just not thinking thin
