Maintaining the Garden

To me maintenance feels like a chore. It’s something you have to do, but it detracts from all the things you could be doing.

But there’s another way of looking at maintenance. You are keeping something alive.  In this sense you aren’t simply maintaining. You are gardening.

When something is designed to inhabit a specific space, the entire dynamics of that space must be considered. In this sense an act of creation is a type of Repair to Create New Wholeness.

We can also think of repair as an act of creation, SEE Kintsugi, an Art that Goes Beyond Repair.
